Mr Simana Chimana
Manager – Microfinance and Financial Co-Operatives, CISNA Secretariat
Mr Chimana has been appointed as the Manager – Microfinance and Financial Co-Operatives with effect 15 November 2023. He is seconded from the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA).
Mr Chimana is Policy Advisor in the department of Research Policy and Statistic of the NAMFISA. He was also the Chairperson of the Microfinance and Financial Co-Operatives Sub-Committee from May 2021 to date.
Prior to joining NAMFISA, Mr Chimana was Senior Advisor in the Executive Director’s Southern Africa Group II Constituency Office of the African Development Bank; Deputy Director, Policy Development and Research at the Southern African Customs Union; and Deputy Director, Statistics and Publications – Research Department of the Bank of Namibia.
Mr Chimana holds Masters in Economic Law and MSc in Financial Economics.
